Cayo's Double-Doubles Earn Weekly Honor

MSOE's Carol Cayo has been named Northern Athletics Conference Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for games of November 21-27.

Cayo (Lake Mills, Wis.) recorded a pair of double-doubles on the week as the Raiders went 2-0. The senior center scored 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in MSOE's first-ever victory against Carroll, a 65-54 nonconference win, last Monday.

On Saturday in the conference-opener versus Dominican, Cayo scored 29 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in the 48-46 victory for the Raiders (3-1, 1-0 NAC).

On the week she averaged 27.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game while shooting 69 percent from the floor.
