Curry Scores First Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Of Season

Rockford's Britney Curry has been named Northern Athletics Conference Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for games of November 14-20.

Curry (Merrillville, Ind.) scored 20-plus points in all three games last week for the Regents (1-2). The senior guard also recorded a double-double in the season opener with 23 points and 14 rebounds in a loss to Judson (Ill.).

This past weekend, Curry was named to the all-tournament team at the 2011 North Central College Tip-Off Tournament. During the tournament she averaged 21.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 blocks per game.
