to announce Tony Draves as the interim head coach of the women's
softball program. Draves has spent the last eight seasons as an

NCAA Tournament
WHITEWATER, Wis. -- In a contest that took
more than fifteen hours to decide the outcome, the Aurora University
Spartans maintained the lead it had when the game was halted Friday
night because of failing light, finishing the seventh inning at 9
a.m. on Saturday morning to pull off the 9-5 win over Augustana
College (Ill.).

Softball wins opening game of NCAA Tournament
WHITEWATER, Wis. -- The Aurora University
Spartan softball team led by seniors, pitcher Anna Snyder and left
fielder Karisa Hansen won the opening game of the 2010 NCAA Division
III Softball Championship against the University of Wisconsin-La
Crosse Eagles 4-3 at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater
regional.

student-athletes named to CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic
All-District teams
WAUKESHA, Wis. -- The 2010 CoSIDA/ESPN the
Magazine Academic All-District Team for baseball and softball
were announced by College Sports Information Directors of America
(CoSIDA) last week, and 11 student-athletes from Northern
Athletics Conference teams received honors. To be eligible for the
honor, nominated student-athletes are required to maintain a minimum
3.30 cumulative grade point average throughout their academic
career.
