Stampfl Field upgrades
MADISON, Wis. -- Thanks to a new partnership between Edgewood
College and the City of Verona, construction is well underway on a
new grandstand structure for Stampfl Field, the Eagles' baseball

Dominican's Eifel selected by
San Francisco in MLB Draft
RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- With the fifth selection in
the 21st Round of the 2008 Major League Baseball (MLB) First-Year
Player Draft, the San Francisco Giants selected Dominican
University's Mike Eifel (Midlothian, IL). The 6'4" right-hand
pitcher, became the first-ever student-athlete at Dominican
University to be selected in the MLB draft and just the second
player to be taken from the Northern Athletics Conference of which
the Stars are a member.

assistant baseball coach Dave Reinemann has been named the fifth head coach in

names Rotzoll second-team All-American
RIVER FOREST,
Ill. -- Concordia Chicago's J.D. Rotzoll (Mount Prospect, IL –
Prospect H.S.) continued to reap the benefits of a record-setting
season for the Cougar baseball team with the announcement of yet
another post-season honor. The American Baseball Coaches'
Association (ABCA) named the 6'4" Cougars' senior slugger as a
second-team All-American at first base.

Postseason honors roll in for
Cougar baseball team
RIVER FOREST,
Ill. -- The Concordia Chicago baseball team's 32-win season, best in
the program's history, has not gone unnoticed by either local or
national baseball observers. Several of the Cougars have been
recipients of the various post-season awards, highlighted by the
announcements of the American Baseball Coaches' Association
all-region team and the D3baseball.com All-American team earlier
this week.
