Regents look to make a
difference “Community involvement is a very important component of the liberal arts education here at Rockford College,” said Randy Schrader, the athletic director at Rockford College. “Working with the Jane Addams Center has given our students a tremendous opportunity to get out in the community and really make a difference in the world in which they live.” The Rockford College football team will welcome players and families from the NFL Rockford Youth Football League to the game. Weather permitting, several teams will play a seven minute game at halftime of the Rockford-Aurora game. The Rockford College cheerleaders will also hold a pre-game clinic with cheerleaders from NFL Rockford. The Rockford College JACCE, in co-ordination with the YMCA of Rockford, will welcome Big Brothers/ Big Sisters to the game. Other special events during the game include face painting and various games. Make a Difference Day is a national day of helping others, which takes place on the fourth Saturday of October each year. Last year, over three million people volunteered at thousands of projects in hundreds of towns across the country.
