CUW wins second consecutive Northern Athletics Conference Women's Tennis Championship
MADISON, Wis. -- Concordia University Wisconsin won its second consecutive Northern Athletics Championship today at Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin.

The Falcons won seven of the nine individual championships to post a team score of 97 points. Edgewood College tallied 78 team points, winning the remaining two individual championships at the two-day event. Marian College rounded out the top three teams with 59 points and a third place finish.

CUW's Erin Henrich (Watertown, Wis.) was named the Northern Athletics Conference Player of the Year following the Championship. Henrich, who won the award in 2006, was a perfect 10-0 at No. 1 Singles and 10-0 at No. 1 Doubles in NAC regular season duals. The sophomore also won the championships at No. 1 Singles and No. 1 Doubles at the NAC Championship this weekend.

Aurora University's Siri Nelson (Carpentersville, Ill.) was named NAC Rookie of the Year. The freshman finished the NAC regular season with a 7-3 record at No. 1 Singles and 5-5 at No. 1 Doubles.

Marian College John Frausto was named the Northern Athletics Conference Coach of the Year. Frausto coached his Sabres, who were picked to finish fifth in the preseason pool, to a third place finish in the conference. The Sabres finished the season 9-5 overall and 8-2 in NAC duals.
