Edgewood cross country teams
earn USTFCCCA academic honor
MADISON,
Wis. -- The Edgewood College men’s and women’s cross country teams
have been named All-Academic Teams by the United States Track and
Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The women’s team
earned a 3.64 grade point average, while the men recorded a 3.10
grade point average during the fall semester.

Benedictine cross country
teams receive academic honors

Ill. -- The Benedictine University men’s and women's cross country
teams received all-academic honors, with both teams being recognized
as All-Academic teams by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country

CUW duo to compete at NCAA
Championships
MEQUON,
Wis. -- Justin Simmons broke the CUW long jump record Friday night
with a leap of 7.04 meters (23 feet-1.25 inches). His jump
catapulted him from nowhere to ninth nationally in the event.
Simmons will join teammate and Pentathlon contestant Brock Solveson
in competition at the NCAA III Indoor Track and Field Championships
in Greencastle, Ind., this weekend.

Lawson hired to lead Alverno
volleyball program
MILWAUKEE -- Alverno College Director of
Athletics Brad Duckworth has announced the hiring of Paul Lawson as
Alverno's new head volleyball coach effective immediately. Lawson
becomes the fifth head coach of the program which enters its 11th
season of competition this fall.
